2022 Events
We love a social event here at the Kedron Lions Junior Football Club!
COVID has prevented many events going ahead in 2020 & 2021, but we're back on track this year with our amazing 2022 Committee doing its best to host a number of social events.
Look out 2023, we have even bigger plans so stay tuned! Watch this space for the details of our new 2023 Events Committee and how you can get involved.

Active Truth - Mum's Coaching Clinic
Date: Friday, 22nd April 2022
Venue: Kedron Lions Football Club, 78 Sixth Avenue, Kedron
What a great night this was with "Women Supporting Women" at the Active Truth Mum's Coaching Clinic.
The awesome Kedron Lady Lions ran a basic skills session for our Junior Club Mum's which included learning how to kick, handball & tackle.
The aim was for our Mum's to feel confident in having a kick with their Redlegger by learning these basic skills.
Following the coaching clinic, we all gathered in the Clubhouse for a glass of bubbles and a grazing platter and the night concluded with the Lady Lions Leaders and Jumper presentation.
This event was generously sponsored by Active Truth, a women's activewear brand that believes that women deserve better from the activewear market. At Active Truth, they celebrate women regardless of size, shape or stage of life by offering performance activewear across an inclusive size range. Active Truth are proud to sponsor both the Kedron Lady Lions and Kedron Districts Junior Football Club.
Auskick Wrap Party

Venue: Kedron Lions Football Club, 78 Sixth Avenue, Kedron
After having to postpone this event a few times because of the rain and the Brisbane flooding event, the Auskick Wrap Party finally went ahead on Saturday 28th May!
We had rides for our Kinder & Auskickers plus free popcorn & fairy floss!
Our Canteen was open serving our legendary egg & bacon burgers and it was a fantastic day down at the club for our Kinder & Auskicker families.
Drag Queen Bingo Fundraiser

To coincide with Pride Round, we thank everyone who came along to our first Drag Queen Bingo night, hosted by both the Junior and Senior club as a fundraiser.
We're sure everyone that attended will agree it was a night of fun and oh so many laughs! This was also a great success for the club with funds being raised for both the Junior and Senior Club.
Thank you to our amazing sponsors who donated so many generous prizes and our Junior and Senior Club Social Coordinators for putting together such a great night down at the club.
Cupcake Stall Fundraiser

The Committee would like to thank everyone for their hard work and support of the Cupcake Stall we held on Saturday, 6th August 2022.
We were blown away by the number of homemade cupcakes we received from our wonderful Junior Club Bakers and we're thrilled to announce that we sold a total 480 cupcakes! Amazing!
Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to bake us some cupcakes, they all looked and tasted great.
Thank you also to our volunteers that helped us on the day, everyone's hard work is very much appreciated and led to the success of the day. This was a fantastic fundraiser for the club.
You could feel the fun and good vibes in the air, what a great day down at the club!
Super Saturday & Sponsors Day

We're looking forward to a great day of Senior Club footy at the Super Saturday & Sponsors Day coming up on Saturday, 6th August.
Food trucks 2 Serial Grillers & Jimbo's Delights will be on site, so you can tuck into some tasty treats whilst cheering on our Colts, Mens and Womens teams.
First game kicks off at 10 am and we'd love to invite you to bring the family down and celebrate the last Super Saturday at home with us.
FOOD TRUCKS, ENTERTAINMENT, RAFFLES and FOOTY!

Superstars & Junior Presentation & Break Up Party!
Date: Saturday, 3rd September 2022

We look forward to welcoming all of our Superstar & Junior Club (U8-U11) families to the Junior Presentation & Break up party, featuring an Inflatable world and Food Trucks!
Plan for lunch at the footy club, the Canteen will be open serving our usual menu plus we'll have Food Trucks on hand if you feel like something different on the day.
This will be an action-packed day of fun for our Junior families!
Youth Best & Fairest Awards
Date: Saturday, 10th September 2022
Venue: Kedron Lions Football Club, 78 Sixth Avenue, Kedron
We look forward to welcoming all of our Youth Club (U12-U17) families to the Youth Best & Fairest Presentation.
Awards will be given to players in the following categories:
~ Best and Fairest ~
~ Runner Up Best and Fairest ~
~ Coaches Award ~
~ Best Team Player ~
~ Most Improved ~
All players will also receive their 2022 medallion.
Plan for dinner at the footy club, the Canteen will be open serving our usual menu plus we'll have Food Trucks on hand if you feel like something different on the night.
The Footy club bar will also be open as well as an additional bar set up on the lawn.
We look forward to a night of celebrating our success in 2022!
